Outdoor Trail

Catskill Scenic Trails

  • Delaware County
  • 607-652-2721

We encourage you to visit Delaware County, and take a relaxing hike, bike, stroll, ski or horseback ride on the Catskill Scenic Trail. Delaware County is lucky to have this amazing rail bed preserved forever as a beautiful and well maintained hiking trail for its residents and guests.

The western Catskill Mountains of Delaware County offer some of the most stunning rolling mountain vistas. The headwaters for the Delaware River flow through the region providing fertile ground for farming on the river valleys and sweeping up gentle slopes to the mountain tops. These family farms and forests fed the needs of the growing Manhattan population and trains, such as the Ulster & Delaware, brought their produce and timber to market.

  • 845-688-2828

Do you remember the first time you held a kaleidoscope to your eye and beheld a brilliant burst of color and form? And then, with just the slightest movement, the image was gone- fleeting as time itself- but replaced with another vista just as breathtaking.

Whether you are a longtime collector or just an admirer of the beauty and form of kaleidoscopes, we invite you to spend time with us, learn more about kaleidoscopes, and experience the World’s Largest Kaleidoscope- a multi-media experience that wows audiences with brilliant moving images and theatre quality sound.

Standing at 56 feet tall and 38 feet in diameter, the silo from the farm originally built on the former Riseley Flats was transformed into the World’s Largest Kaleidoscope. The connected barn on the property that was built in 1860 is now the Shops at Emerson.

Bocce Ball Court - An Ancient Game Makes Its Way to Your Garden Party

Bocce ball court make this property so appealing for fun, entertaining and Country relaxation. Large fenced in backyard garden with a semi-round stone wall for your organic bounty as well.

Bocce ball, also called bocci or boccie, is a relaxed but strategic game with an ancient lineage. Although probably emerging from ancient Egypt, bocce started to hit its stride with the Romans and Emperor Augustus. It gained massive popularity with the influx of Italian immigrants at the turn of the 20th century. Today, bocce is a calming, competitive way to spend a few hours outdoors in the pleasant company of friends.
